Step-1: Head to the Twitter app and launch it.
Step-2: Find the GIF that you intend to download and click on the share icon. With the options displayed, tap on the Share tweet via… option.
Step-3: Then select Copy link to Tweet. A notification will pop up reminding you that the link has been copied.
Step-4: Now open the GIFwrapped app and launch it. Click on the Search tab and from the options below, select Use the Clipboard.
Step-5: With that, the GIF you intended to download would be displayed. Select the file and press the share icon located at the top right.
Step-6: This prompts several options from which you need to click on Save to Library.
Step-7: Next, hit the tab called Library and select the downloaded file.
Step-8: Press the share button yet again and click the Save to Files option. You can choose the folder for the file to be saved and then select Add option on the top right corner to confirm.
With that done, you can now navigate to the file folder and play the GIF.
Twitter GIF Downloader for Android device – Tweet2gif
The Google Play Store caters to quite a range of free twitter gif downloader apps which let you download twitter GIFs with much ease on Android devices. Out of the many apps, we would like to bring attention to one of the most reliable and convenient ones involving the Tweet2gif app. The free app which can be downloaded from the Play Store allows for you to download GIFs from any given tweets.
Here are the simple steps detailing on how to go about it –
Step-1: First, download and install the Tweet2gif app on your Android smartphone/tablet from the app store by clicking here.
Step-2: Launch the Twitter app on your Android device and find the GIF you intend to download. Click on the expand option with three small dots located at the top right corner and select the option Copy Link to Tweet.
Step-3: With that done, now open the app ‘Tweet2Gif’ which you installed in the first step and tap Paste to display the address or link of the tweet.

Method 1: With Twitter GIFs already established as not the usual GIFs, saving them to a computer requires quite a number of extra steps to go about it. Using a site called ezgif.com you can now download Twitter GIFs directly on your computer in video or GIF format.
Step-1: Navigate to Twitter through any browser and find your favorite GIF.
Step-2: Copy the tweet link by clicking the downward arrow symbol located at the top right corner of the tweet window and selecting Copy link to Tweet.
Step-3: Now open another tab in your browser and head to the link https://ezgif.com/optimize.
Step-4: Under Paste Image URL field, paste the tweet link that you copied in Step 2.
Step-5: Click on the blue Upload button.
Step-6: With that, the twitter GIF would be converted in the video format of mp4. You can further scroll down and hit the convert video to gif option.
Step-7: There are also some customizable options like adjusting frame rate, video size, etc. For a smooth transition, opt for 20 frames per second.
Step-8: After selecting the parameters, click on the Convert option to generate the GIF.
Step-9: Save the GIF by right-clicking it and selecting the option to save image as… and voila! You are done.
Method 2: If that seems a little cumbersome, there is another workaround that enables you to download GIFs from Twitter directly to your PC without much ado. However, you need to be using the Google Chrome browser. All you require is an extension on the Chrome web store called Twitter video Assist that allows you to save gif from Twitter. You can get it by clicking here and then following the on-screen instructions to add to the Chrome browser and activating it. Now with the extension enabled, any time you come across an interesting GIF on Twitter while using the Google Chrome web browser, all you have to do is just right-click the GIF and select the option Save This Twitter Video.
